Manage today’s queue from the counter: call the next customer, mark them done, keep an eye on waiting times.
Connect the tablet to a second screen (HDMI, USB-C or wireless). Customers see the order, total and payment QR live.
Cash, card, DuitNow QR, e-wallets and bank transfer. Switch each method on or off in Settings.
Long-press any product in the POS to add a photo from the camera or gallery.
Print receipts on the built-in printer of Sunmi devices, or share a digital receipt with the customer.
The iOS version is in preparation. For now, open barbs.my/app in Safari and add it to your Home Screen.

Part 1
Once per shop tablet or phone. Takes under two minutes.
Type the link into Chrome on the tablet, or scan the QR from the dashboard (Android App). Tap "Download APK".
Pull down the notification bar and tap the "barbs-merchant" file. If Android asks "Allow from this source?", tap Settings, switch on the permission for Chrome and go back. This is only asked once. Then tap "Install".
Note: Installed a preview build before 20 September 2026? Uninstall it first. After that, new versions install straight over the old one.
Three intro screens appear the first time. Tap "Skip" at the bottom left to go straight to sign-in.
Part 2
The owner or manager signs in with email first. After that, staff only need their PIN.
Use the same email and password as barbs.my. This links the device to your shop; your services, products and settings download automatically.
On the sign-in screen tap "Switch to PIN Login", enter the 4-6 digit PIN and tap "Login". PINs are set by the owner in the web dashboard: Staff → Add Staff → Cashier, or in the app: Settings → Staff & PIN.
Note: PIN sign-in only works after an owner or manager has signed in with email on that device. If you see "No Tenant", sign in with email first.
The big purple button at the top opens the POS. Below it: Queue, Sales, Analytics, Inventory, Customers and Settings. The bottom bar takes you to the same tabs.
Part 3
Five minutes in Settings so the POS matches how your shop works.
The Settings tab shows the signed-in account, the language choice (English / Bahasa Melayu), and shortcuts to Analytics, Inventory, Campaigns, Payment Methods and Staff & PIN. The "Log out" button is at the bottom.
Settings → Payment Methods. Switch off methods your shop does not take; only active ones appear at checkout. Tap the gear on DuitNow QR / e-wallets to upload your shop’s QR image, and on Bank Transfer to enter the bank name and account number. Tap "Save".
Note: These settings are shared with the web POS: change them here and they change there too.
In the POS, long-press any product card, then choose "Take photo" or "Pick from gallery". The photo uploads and shows on the web POS too. Only owners and managers can change photos.
Tap the TV icon at the top right of the POS. Two options: (1) Second screen: connect the tablet to a TV or monitor with a USB-C / HDMI cable, or a wireless display in "extend" mode, then tap "Show on second screen". This works offline. (2) Separate device: open the display link on another tablet or TV that has internet.
Note: Plain screen mirroring shows the same picture on both screens. For that case the POS shows the payment QR large on the tablet itself at payment time.
Part 4
Sales and queue, with or without internet.
Services and products show as cards. Tap to add; use +/- in the cart to change quantity. Pick the customer and barber (optional) above the cart, then tap "Pay".
Only the methods you switched on are shown. For DuitNow QR or e-wallets, your shop QR appears large for the customer to scan. Tap "Pay RM ..." to finish; the receipt can be printed (Sunmi devices) or shared.
The Queue tab shows who is waiting and the average wait. Customers join by scanning your shop QR; staff can call the next customer and mark them done from here.
A red "Offline Mode" bar appears, but the cart, payments and the customer display on the second screen keep working. Sales are stored on the device and synced to the dashboard automatically once you are back online.
